This role can be based out of our Holborn or Coventry Store Support Centre & Home - colleagues in the team go into the office 1-2 days per week on average.
In this role you will be responsible for working with the relevant finance manager and senior finance manager to business partner the Operational/Commercial stakeholders for RO & Returns. You will drive performance within this business area through performance interventions and decisions support with direction and support from the relevant finance manager and Senior Finance Manager. You'll influence decisions to drive performance across RO & Returns P&L, as well as deliver timely day-to-day forecasting, analysis and performance commentary.

- Act on financial information to provide insight to help review and maximise actual performance.
- Track and understand the financial impact of action plans and projects to help drive these through to completion.
- Business partner and be the primary point of contact for the Clearance and Returns teams.
- Deliver timely and accurate day to day reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting activities with guidance, including:
- Analytical support and reporting commentary to the commercial teams to help make sound business decisions and maximise business performance
- Reporting, analysis and forecasts of the RO and Clearance P&L
- Provision of regular insight into the drivers of performance
- Perform ad hoc analysis to help assess the success of trading initiatives and activities.
- Work closely with the other Trading Finance Managers and Analysts to support category specific initiatives/actions to improve the performance of RO & Returns.
- Attend and actively contribute to key meetings as required
- Responsible for managing relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Qualified accountant (or studying towards an accounting qualification)
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand key business performance drivers
- Ability to present complex information in a simple and clear manner
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong inter-personal skills and an empathetic nature
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
- Enthusiastic, positive and proactive engagement of key stakeholders
