Job Description
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but will not be limited to, the below:
- Supporting cost centre managers:
- Monthly review of expenditure against budget and prior years
- Highlighting trends
- Flagging issues to allow prompt resolution
- Work with operational finance team to ensure relevant month end accruals/prepayments are captured
- Supporting capital expenditure analysis
- Pre and post ROI evaluation
- Tracking of spend against budget and timelines
- Integral role in annual budgeting process supporting cost centre spend, capital expenditure and headcount
- Developing reporting tools, performance packs and analytics.
- Continuously seeking improvement in ways of working including recommending key financial and non-financial internal controls.
- Manage and own your professional development in order to achieve your work objectives and your career and personal goals.

Personal Profile
- Experience of problem solving and evidence of addressing problems with solutions is vital, as is a proactive approach to thinking about issues before they materialise.
- Ability and confidence to present to senior leaders is essential, with an ability to communicate & collaborate effectively with a wide range of internal customers.
- Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues
- Strong commercial awareness, and an accurate, logical, and concise approach to work.
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to challenge the status quo with a continuous improvement mind-set.
Preferred Qualifications
- Similar experience in manufacturing company essential
- Similar experience in whisky industry would be advantageous
- Part qualified accountant or qualified by experience
- SAP experience preferred
- Strong IT and system skills - Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Experience with Power BI would be beneficial.
