We are looking for a commercial finance analyst, to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract basis based within the Starbucks finance team. The role provides insightful, fit for purpose, analysis and reporting around performance and is a key contributor to the planning, forecasting and reporting process for the EMEA business. The commercial finance analyst role will be heavily involved with creating and maintaining reporting, balancing demands from business with resources, continually adapting to meet the business needs.
In addition to the core remit of provision on financial intelligence and insight, the role will require a strong degree analytical support to the business, across areas such as Supply Chain, general G&A cost, Data Management and Modelling.
You’ll join a forward thinking finance team, with plenty of opportunity for stretch experiences and career progression, depending upon the individual. There is also the opportunity to become a system super user of corporate technologies and the successful candidate would have a hunger for learning. Strong time management, communication, workload prioritisation and accuracy skills are key skills required.
What you’ll do:
- Support areas of planning and reporting cycles
- Provide regular and ad hoc data analysis to support decisions across EMEA
- Support and create analysis, budgets and forecasts for Supply Chain Operations (SCO)
- Partner with senior stakeholders to reviews, budget and forecast G&A functional budgets
- Ensure sales reporting continue to be relevant, fit for purpose and timely
- Ensure clear communication of plans, forecasts and budgets, through excellent business partnership
- Be the finance representative in cross functional projects as and when required
- Support the team with data management, modelling and systems implementation and maintenance
- Support Senior Manager, FP&A on ad hoc analysis
The Key Requirements...
- Part or fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA etc..)
- Multisite retail or large corporate experience
- Self-starter, ability to work independently and part of a team
- Comfortable handing ambiguity and has a learning agility
- Experience of business partnering with non-finance functions and storytelling financial information to non financial individuals
- A confidence for presenting financial data in a concise and actionable format, written, visually and verbally
- Comfortable working in an environment of consistently competing priorities
- Comfortable collaborating with and engaging with a range of global stakeholders
- Experience of working in cross functional teams, where you are seen as the finance expert
- Extensive Microsoft Office experience, in particular PowerPoint and advance Excel skills
- Appetite to learn new systems, Oracle system knowledge is advantageous
