Role Profile
Our client is a leading player in the chemical manufacturing industry, dedicated to producing high-quality products that cater to diverse industrial needs. As Finance Assistant, you'll play an important part in managing day to day transactional aspects of the finance department and reporting back to the senior management team. Working as part of a small finance team you'll also get broad exposure to other aspects of the business, allowing you to develop your skills.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will work Monday to Friday typical office hours with a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly, quarterly & annual management information reports
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve processes and ways of working
- Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc queries across the finance department
- Partner with, and work collaboratively, with other business functions
- Creating and maintaining customer records
- Processing sales invoices
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Create and publish accurate reporting and KPI tracking
- Bank reconciliations
Skills & Experience:
- Strong financial acumen is required
- Previous experience of working in a SME business would be advantageous
- Ability to communicate to key stakeholders at all levels
- Tech savvy, ideally with experience using Accounting systems such as Xero Strong attention to detail
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, with record of implementing new processes to improve efficiency
