Gecko Travel Recruitment are excited to be working with the UK's leading specialist ski tour operator based in London who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team on a 6 month fixed term contract basis.
As Finance Assistant you will support the Finance Manager in daily operations by efficiently handling high volumes of transactional financial accounting tasks with a specific focus on reconciling purchase ledger and card transactions. Although this is an initial 6 month contract, there is the possibility it could turn permanent for the right person.
Previous experience in a similar finance/accounts role is essential to be considered for this role.
The role:
- Supporting the accounts payable function, with particularly focus on our large volumes of overseas suppliers
- Review and reconciliation of credit card transactions
- Identifying suppliers with outstanding balances and ensuring prompt processing of payments within agreed terms
- Supporting the accounts receivable function, via reconciling and accounting for client receipts
- Investigating discrepancies between supplier records and our expected costs
You will have:
- At least 1 years' experience in a similar finance/accounts role
- Some knowledge of the accounts payable function
- The ability to multitask
- Strong IT skills
- Knowledge of Xero is desirable but not essential
