Role purpose
Mimeo produces and sells printed material in a global market. The products are ordered online and delivered worldwide by our US, UK, and German companies through a network of Print Service Providers. This requires us to file Indirect Tax (mainly VAT) Returns in many countries.
The role oversees the Indirect Tax reporting for a number of countries outside North America and ensures that the third party we use to file our VAT and GST Returns gets the correct information on time to enable them to submit Indirect Tax Returns on behalf of Mimeo
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for producing and managing Indirect Tax reports for Mimeo and forwarding the checked data to our third party provider for them to compile the necessary VAT/GST Returns; to be their first point-of contact.
- Monitor and ensure any Indirect Tax payments are made on time. (This includes any import and deferred VAT)
- Be the liaison point for the business on VAT/Indirect Tax reporting ; build expertise in our Vertex tax billing system and update our financial systems AX as and when required.
- Ensuring the VAT accounts on the balance sheet are reconciled.
- Ensuring the company's sales invoices are tax compliant.
Required skills and Qualifications
- Awareness of Indirect Tax (VAT/GST) processes — some experience would be very much preferred
- Awareness of Customs practices and VAT accounting an advantage
- Experience from working for a multi-national company an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- To a good working standard on Excel; experience running reports from order-management software an advantage
This would ideally suit somebody wanting to work part time - 15 hour a week
