Finance Assistant

• Salary: £15.00 – 17.00 per hour
We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team and support our accounting systems under the direction of the finance manager. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of our company.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Booking daily sales receipts and managing sales ledger reconciliation and queries.
• Inputting purchase invoices and reconciling supplier accounts.
• Handling Paypal transactions, including bookings and refunds.
• Processing expense claims bookings.
• Maintaining daily book-keeping activities to ensure accurate financial records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) / Accounts Payable (AP) or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
• Proficiency in using an ERP system, such as Opera 3 or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management, customers, and suppliers.
• Problem-solving abilities for customer support and other queries.
• Initiative to assist in solving inter-departmental operational issues and introducing improvements to working practices.
• A positive and highly motivated attitude with a can-do approach to work.
Educational Qualifications:
• Good GCSEs or equivalent education, preferably with a focus on finance or related fields.
