What you’ll be doing day to day
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information to improve our Finance data
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Provide analysis on budget variances and recommend corrective actions
- Own the AR & AP processes and act as the main contact for partner invoicing queries
- Support the preparation for audits, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Participate in special projects to improve overall financial performance

- You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and identify ways the Finance team can support the delivery of company goals through finance-related initiatives.
- Support effective decision-making by building insightful and informative financial reporting
- Drive innovation with smart use of technology and automation to improve our finance operations
- Identify opportunities for improvement, working with the FD to design and implement changes that improve the service offered to the wider business by the Finance team
What you’ll bring to the role
- You'll be a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant progress towards full qualification and previous experience in a finance role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confidence working with large volumes of data to spot errors, find areas for improvement and surface insights
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Track record of developing innovative solutions and implementing new technologies to improve the operational efficiency of the finance function
This role would suit someone currently working as an Assistant management accountant, Commercial Accountant, Finance Specialist or similar.

Interview process

We use online assessments as a fair and objective way to identify the required skills for the role. This includes attention to detail, Excel knowledge, and general finance skills.
- Phone interview
A 30 minute call with our Head of People to answer all your questions about the role, flatfair's business and our company culture
- Remote interview
A video call with our Finance Director, Elisha to discuss your experience in more detail
- Final interview
Join us in our London office and meet with members of the flatfam from a variety of teams. We'll ask you to complete a short case study in advance for us to discuss on the day.
Role package
Salary: £33,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
Location: Hybrid (one day a week in our London office)
