Job description

This role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working, 28 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays and 11% pension after one year of service.

Salary £55,000-£60,000 per annum

London/Hybrid with requirement of 2 days in the London Office per week 

 About the role

The Which? Finance Team is in an exciting period of transition,  to deliver more effective and efficient finance processes and ensure we move to a best-in-class operating model. 

As our Finance Business Partner reporting to our Head of Commercial Finance you will provide valuable support to the business, partnering with your assigned business area to deliver high quality management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and insights. With the scope to support other teams as the role evolves.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • As the principal finance contact, build strong commercial relationships with client groups based on mutual trust. Includes supporting and constructively challenging those with less financial backgrounds to understand and own their numbers.
  • Delivery of monthly management accounting and preparation of monthly reporting packs for your areas, including working with LT and budget holders to develop and evolve this reporting.
  • Management of 3 year planning, budgeting, forecasting, month end, and year end numbers for designated departments.
  • Providing rigorous challenge to stakeholders to ensure the most efficient and effective use of the company's resources.
  • Working in partnership and collaborating with other enabling functions e.g. People, Group Legal, PMO to help 'join the dots' across multiple projects, workstreams and functions.

About you:

  • We're looking for a proactive self-starter with Commercial Finance experience, who is eager to learn about Which? and get stuck in! 
  • You'll be commercially savvy, have strong analytical skills and be able to spot opportunities for us to deliver improvements and solve existing business problems. 
  • Needless to say, you'll enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business, including senior management, and you'll take pride in establishing excellent working relationships with your business areas as well as the finance team. 
  • It goes without saying that you will also have obtained an accountancy qualification, such as CIMA or ACA.

Our interview process usually involves 2 stages:

  • Sometimes a chat with a recruiter or hiring manager by phone (typically 30 minutes), followed by
  • An interview on Google Meet (approximately 45-90 minutes) consisting of values and experience-based competency questions and a role related task on a laptop
