Wilkinson Associates are delighted to be supporting a fantastic, growing organisation on the west of Glasgow recruit for a Finance Business Analyst.
\n\nThe role will sit within the Commercial Finance team and will be responsible for partnering 3 of the business's key divisions.
\n\nAs a Finance Business Analyst, you will be responsible for improving the financial and operational performance for the business through the provision of accurate data-based information enabling the commercial and operational teams to make strategic decisions and meet reporting commitments.
\n\nKey Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
\n\n- \n\t
- Play a key role in the annual budget process \n\t
- Review of management accounts with the management accounts team and investigation and resolution of variances to plan \n\t
- In partnership with the Finance Business Partner develop a reporting suite to drive business performance \n\t
- Preparation of financial inputs to monthly Board packs \n\t
- Ad hoc analysis as requested by the MD and management team \n\t
- Generation of business improvement ideas and initiatives to reduce costs and improve financial and operational performance. \n\t
- Involvement in annual pricing review and implementation \n\t
- Assist operational personnel in financial aspects of Capital Project approval forms and provide relevant financial challenge \n\t
- Liaise with Fixed Asset accountants to ensure all necessary information supplied to assist in Capex approval being secured in timely manner \n\t
- Assist in the process of refining the KPI suite, rolling it out across the business, and ensuring it is prepared/shared on a timely basis \n\t
- Assist in the identification and implementation of initiatives arising from KPI trends. \n\t
- Support the roll out and understanding of KPIs across the business. \n\t
- Assist in the integration of relevant acquisitions into Group KPI, planning and reporting systems. \n
Background and Experience:
\n\n- \n\t
- To be successful in this role, you will be a newly qualified accountant and be able to demonstrate some business acumen. \n\t
- Experience with statistical analysis involving the extraction, manipulation and reporting of complex data sets and therefore proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications. \n\t
- You will have outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills and have the influence and tenacity to deliver business improvement . \n
