Salary: £26,000 - £34,000
Eden Brown are seeking an enthusiastic Finance Business Partner for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire.
This is a full time permanent role to start asap.
Job Purpose:
* Support the Faculties and Support Areas in business planning, funding and resource modelling and the monitoring of same.
* Prepare management information including management accounts for budget holders within the College
* Provide financial information to allow the Vice Principal (Corporate Services) and Chief Executive to monitor performance
* Contribute to the maintenance of various subsidiary systems and ledgers within the finance unit
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Costing of course initiatives and on-going monitoring in performance of efficiency.
* Investigating and interpreting variances to budget.
* Support the College Finance Manager in developing the skills of Finance apprentices
* Distribution of monthly accounts to Faculty and Unit Managers combined with attending regular meetings with them to discuss their monthly performance.
* Accurate and timely posting of payroll data, including maintaining costing data
* Contributing to the preparation of annual statutory accounts, including providing audit information.
* To participate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts including liaison with other staff as required.
* Preparing accurate balance sheet reconciliations, control account reconciliations and reviewing subsidiary ledgers to ensure accurate financial data.
* Produce and manipulate financial reports in excel
Requirements:
* AAT qualification
* Experience of management information production including management accounts
* To have worked in a busy and diverse finance department where both speed and accuracy are vital
* Studying towards a CIMA/ACCA qualification or equivalent - Desirable
