Finance Business Partner - Capital opportunity to join a fantastic NHS organisation on full time temporary basis. My client is looking for a committed and engaging individual who is an experienced Finance Business Partner - Capital to add value to the existing friendly finance team.
As the Finance Business Partner- Capital you will be working to support the Head of Financial Strategy, and be required to link with other senior finance leads and staff from across the wider organisation.
Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner - Capital
- Assist in the preparation of the annual accounts, ensuring compliance with the national timetable, and relevant legislation.
- Assist in the preparation of Annual Capital investment plans, internal reports, and statutory monitoring returns.
- Advise the Head of Financial Strategy of any potential issues arising from the Capital workstream.
- Contribute to the financial analysis of Capital business cases, projects, and service developments to ensure that all financial implications are fully understood.
- Work with a range of stakeholders to contribute to the financial analysis of service transformation programmes.
- Lead the Capital workstream, by ensuring the effective management and support of all individuals within the team.
- Support the programme managers in delivery of the Capital Programme, by advising on the correct capital treatment of assets and revenue consequences.
- Train finance and non-financial staff in technical finance issues, as required.
- Manage the Capital programme, to ensure compliance within agreed CDEL Limits and relevant regulations.
- Produce relevant Capital information, to include reports, Board papers and financial returns.
- Produce supplementary information to support capital monitoring and decision making.
Required skills and experience of the Finance Business Partner- Capital
- CCAB qualified Accountant
- Technical experience of Capital accounting and Capital asset management.
- Previous NHS experience within a finance function
- In depth specialist knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, to include Treasury Guidance and UK GAP Accounting Standards
- Experience and expertise in managing staff
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of analytical skills
- Proven ability in a Finance Business Partnering position
