Finance Data Analyst

We are seeking a driven and analytical Finance Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our Finance systems team by leveraging your expertise in data analysis, SQL/PL/SQL query writing. You will be responsible for performing large scale reconciliations, identifying issues ensuring these are raised with relevant teams and taking ownership until the issue is resolved, producing meaningful reports and extracting, transforming, and loading data.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute complex SQL and PL/SQL queries to extract and transform financial data from D365 F&O and other relevant sources.
• Understand and participate in the full ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) lifecycle for financial data, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and automated processes to streamline data management and analysis.
• Create and manage data models to support various financial reporting needs.
• Generate insightful reports and dashboards using data visualization tools to communicate complex financial information effectively.
• Collaborate with finance professionals, business partners, and IT teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
• Support the continuous improvement of data quality and reporting processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data analysis and D365 F&O.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in financial data analysis or a related role.
• Proven experience writing and executing complex SQL and PL/SQL queries.
• In-depth knowledge of D365 F&O data structures and functionalities.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data quality principles.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience of working in the Retail sector
• Experience working with/within a finance department
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems, or a related field
