Description

The key responsibilities of the Finance Data Analyst include:

• Partnering across various functions within Finance, Marketing and Operations
• Report on financial sales conversion performance, commission calculations, and reviewing KPI's, eventually offering insight and trend analysis for regular leadership reviews
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
• Formatting large data sets across varying channels and producing clear and concise Excel reports
• Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
• Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps

Profile

A successful Finance Data Analyst should have:

• An academic background in finance, accounting, economics, or a similar field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
• Strong analytical skills and an attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work well with others
