Finance Data Consultant

This role will be between £600 and £650 per day outside IR35. It will initially run for 3 months and will be mostly remote with occasional travel to site in Birmingham.
Key Deliverables:

• Understand and analyse Finance Data related weaknesses in the current system, for example around the chart of accounts, income posting rules, the bank reconciliation system and the lack of standard internal controls currently in place.
• Support the overall delivery of the Oracle Finance programme, providing solution design advice and hands on Finance Data resolution into the following areas:

• The design and delivery of Essential Fixes from a Finance Data perspective
• Investigating and resolving existing transactions in the current Bank Reconciliation System (BRS)
• Finance data elements in the implementation of a new Income Management solution
• Finance data elements in the construction of a new chart of accounts
• Finance data implications for the design and build of new interfaces and reconciliations
• Consideration of Finance Data design, implementation and cutover to a new Oracle instance as part of re-implementation
• Finance data implications for data migration / cutover to the re-implemented solution
• Support for the design, implementation and cutover to a new Oracle instance as part of re-implementation
• Attend design authority, reviewing and contributing to design decisions where relevant from a Finance Data perspective
• Reviewing any design documentation for re-implementation and providing input into any relevant design decisions from a Finance Data perspective.
• Contributing as a Finance Data subject matter expert to the delivery of technical innovation which gives advantage by utilising Oracle technology, for example in helping deliver cost savings.
