Form of workA Finance Director is required by a successful VC backed engineering company based in the city of London. This position will work closely with the MD and senior management in managing the day to day finance function and developing strategy. Initially this will be a busy, hands on position and as processes and the team is implemented this will develop into a more strategic role. You will be managing the day-to-day finance function with the support of a Finance Assistant and external resource.
The Finance Director will be responsible for the provision of quality management accounts, management information, KPIs and monitoring of banking covenants as well as improving historical processes. You will also manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process, monitoring macro-economic conditions, margins, working capital and cash flow. The FD will also review and update both financial and computerised systems and controls.
Any experience of working in VC or investment backed environments would be an advantage.
Hybrid working will be available with a minimum of 2 days in the office.
Required skills:
- Strong Financial Controls experience
- Project Accounting
- Solid budgetary and strategy experience
- Ability to build a finance team
- Oversight of accounting
- Comfortable assisting senior management with strategic decision-making and company growth
- Degree in accountancy or finance
This role will suit an ambitious Finance Director who is ambitious who can combine a hands-on approach with long term vision.
Salary:
Up to £100,000 full time equivalent
This will be a 4day per week position.
