Finance Director

Bath Spa University is looking to recruit an experienced Director of Finance as it moves into a period of capital investment and growth. Bath Spa University has undergone significant change over recent years having undertaken several significant change programmes: Streamlining of its course portfolio to better match undergraduate and employer demand. Implementation of a digital transformation programme including the roll out of a new finance system, switch to Microsoft 365. Realignment of asset base and borrowing levels to support delivery of 2030 Strategic Plan resulting in lower gearing and increased ability to self-fund future development plans. Developing our facilities and educational environment to develop the leading creative professionals of the future. As we move into the next phase of delivery of the strategy we are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Director to support this move by leading a high performing finance team delivering robust, agile and targeted financial reporting to shape and steer financially sustainable decision making with a real focus on providing value for money to students and their families in challenging economic environment.
