This equipment has earned its place in some of the world's most renowned buildings. Notably, the company has experienced substantial growth, doubling in size over the past five years.
The ambition of this business is to sustain this growth trajectory over the next five years. This strategic plan encompasses both domestic expansion within the UK and a deliberate foray into international markets. Partnering with the Managing Director and being an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, the appointment of a Finance Director (who will be based at the Havant head office), will be pivotal in delivering the finance strategy, realizing the envisioned growth targets, and reinforcing the business's status as a leader in delivering innovative and bespoke solutions for a diverse clientele worldwide.
Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the SMT the Finance Director will be responsible for:
- Maximising performance, optimising processes, and inspiring the team to deliver even better outcomes.
- Drive short, medium and long-term results through a thorough understanding of the performance levers of the business.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the Company’s business objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team for strategic decision-making.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting & planning processes and delivery of a profit & cash forecast which is credible, challenging, and achievable.
- Champion internal controls excellence: ensuring systems and processes are fit-for-purpose and driving continuous improvement.
- Overarching responsibility for the IT department and the IT strategy and data security.
- Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to the Finance and Estimating teams.
- Foster a culture of collaboration across departments, to enhance the working culture and performance of the Company.
A suitable candidate for the Finance Director vacancy will be able to demonstrate:
- Strong manufacturing and commercial experience in a fast-growing SME business.
- Be a Chartered Accountant, CIMA or similar, with extensive post qualification experience.
- A track record as an effective leader who is confident influencing across a variety of functions.
- Comfortable challenging the status quo and delivering change in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in successful ERP implementation is highly desirable.
