Our client utilises magazines, websites, live events and more to service their digital community of global brands, ranging from the fintech space to AI, EV Healthcare and beyond. With headcount at 100+ and growing alongside turnover year-on-year, this is a fantastic opportunity to have real influence in a growing business.
The Role:
Reporting into a CEO and MD, this role will have complete autonomy over the finance function, responsible for managing two junior finance assistants. You will play a key role in contributing to the growth initiative of the business, manage the company's financial forecast and looking after the financial reporting. The CEO is keen for the finance function to work closely with the rest of the business, so will require an outward facing personality that is tech savvy, and that enjoys business partnering with the rest of the organisation and the senior leadership team.
The role has been described as offering having a hybrid mix of both technical and commercial duties, and can offer further progression opportunities for the suitable candidate. With a 1 day a week working from home policy in place, this will suit candidates that enjoy the buzz of an exciting and creative office environment.
The Duties:
- Finance business partner with wider business, identifying new areas for growth
- Lead of insight regarding potential for entry into new markets
- Manage budgeting and forecasting
- Responsible for full financial reporting
- Leading on audit and tax accounting duties
- Responsibility for HR duties and legal compliance
- Manage AP and AR Assistants
- Ad hoc support to assist the senior leadership team
What we need to see (essential):
- Proactive, positive, 'can do' attitude
- Understanding of legal compliance and HR insight
- Outward facing personality to business partner with wider team
- ACCA / ACA / CIMA Qualified /PQ / QBE
What we need to see (bonus):
- M&A experience / knowledge surrounding due diligence
