Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy Development: Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Provide strategic guidance to senior management on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
Risk Management: Assess financial risks and implement effective risk management strategies. Monitor and evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic financial targets and projections. Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational activities and investment opportunities. Optimize working capital management and oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships and cash management strategies.
Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and regulatory inspections.
Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop finance staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Strategic Planning and Decision Support: Partner with senior management to evaluate strategic initiatives, investment opportunities, and business expansion plans. Conduct financial analysis and scenario modelling to support decision-making processes.
