Overseeing end-to-end finance operations, planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, Management Accounts, improvements to procedures and controls, ad hoc projects, partnering with key stakeholders

Tasks and responsibilities

• Ownership of the month-end cycle, ensuring accuracy and quality up to management account stage (incl. accruals, prepayments etc.)
• Reconciling intercompany accounts
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT returns, Corporation Tax, PAYE Liabilities etc.
• Managing the internal payroll cycle through a 3rd party payroll provider, including commission calculations
• Leading and Developing a team of 3 (Senior Financial Accountant, 2x trainees)
• Ownership of the annual reporting, statutory accounts, Annual returns
• Working with the auditors to ensure a smooth year-end audit process
• Partnering with stakeholders in the business (Contract payroll team, Sales Directors, Compliance Team, Parent Company)
• Treasury - Overseeing the effective running of the invoice finance facility (uploads, drawdowns) to ensure a healthy cash position
• Supporting finance improvement project implementations
• Supporting on annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting
• Ownership of pricing utilizing pricing calculators, updating/improving calculators annually
• Ensuring compliance with parent company requirements (Jsox and Delegated Authority Matrices)

Skills:

• Fully qualified accountant
• 2-3 years experience in a similar role
• Strong Technical Accounting Knowledge
• Excel and Modelling
• Creating Statutory Accounts
• Ability to Delegate, Manage the work of others
• Budgeting
• Training and Developing a team
• Experience running annual audit
