Finance manager Cpl UK
Overseeing end-to-end finance operations, planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, Management Accounts, improvements to procedures and controls, ad hoc projects, partnering with key stakeholders
Tasks and responsibilities
- Ownership of the month-end cycle, ensuring accuracy and quality up to management account stage (incl. accruals, prepayments etc.)
- Reconciling intercompany accounts
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT returns, Corporation Tax, PAYE Liabilities etc.
- Managing the internal payroll cycle through a 3rd party payroll provider, including commission calculations
- Leading and Developing a team of 3 (Senior Financial Accountant, 2x trainees)
- Ownership of the annual reporting, statutory accounts, Annual returns
- Working with the auditors to ensure a smooth year-end audit process
- Partnering with stakeholders in the business (Contract payroll team, Sales Directors, Compliance Team, Parent Company)
- Treasury - Overseeing the effective running of the invoice finance facility (uploads, drawdowns) to ensure a healthy cash position
- Supporting finance improvement project implementations
- Supporting on annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting
- Ownership of pricing utilizing pricing calculators, updating/improving calculators annually
- Ensuring compliance with parent company requirements (Jsox and Delegated Authority Matrices)
Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- Strong Technical Accounting Knowledge
- Excel and Modelling
