We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join a prestigious membership body and charity, operating with responsibility for day-to-day financial management of the organisation, working closely with accountants to review management accounting information and prepare accounts, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
- Oversee all income and expenditure processing, maintaining and improving bookkeeping and accounting systems.
- Maintain all ledgers and journals, and act as key contact with the organisation’s bank.
- Prepare for annual financial audits and ensure their successful delivery with external auditors.
- File annual return to the Charity Commission and Companies House.
- Undertake any budgeting and forecasting responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience of the Finance Manager:
- Qualified through an approved body, including ACA, ACMA, CIPFA, CIMA, DoChM.
- At least three years’ experience of working in finance in a charity environment.
- Experience of production of budgets, management accounts analysis, and leading annual audit processes.
- Highly attentive to detail and analytical, with practical knowledge of SAGE accounting software and production of accounts to Trial Balance level.
Salary and Benefits:
- £37,000 to £45,000 pro rata.
- Permanent role, available to work either as a full-time position or 80% FTE.
- Hybrid working pattern; based in an office in Central London, with provision for remote working.
