Job Title: Finance Manager
Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance team and collaborate closely with the Financial Controller in ensuring the effective financial management of the organisation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in day-to-day financial operations, statutory reporting, budgeting, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership:
* Manage the day-to-day activities of the finance team.
* Deputise in the absence of the Financial Controller, providing leadership and guidance to team members.
* Statutory Reporting:
* Produce draft statutory accounts and consolidate them for review by the Financial Controller.
* Support the Financial Controller in completing all financial reports.
* Management Accounting:
* Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Monitor budget performance and conduct variance analysis.
* Generate the annual budget, engaging in effective communication with relevant budget holders.
* Financial Analysis and Modeling:
* Assist the Financial Controller in modeling VAT scenarios.
* Conduct detailed analysis of financial processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to optimise efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
* Financial Compliance:
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and financial regulations.
* Implement and monitor financial procedures to guarantee adherence to established standards.
* Reconciliation and Cash-Flow Management:
* Conduct timely reviews of all reconciliations.
* Prepare and review cash-flow performance reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
* Proven experience in a senior finance role, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
* Strong understanding of financial regulations and statutory requirements.
* Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in work.
