The Role
We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join our exciting company in the Film and TV industry.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring and overseeing the validity and accuracy of core company data
- Overseeing day to day accounting activities and supporting where necessary
- Working closely with direct finance reports and other members of the wider team to help to solve queries
- Being a key contact for our larger customer accounts
- Having full oversight of payment runs and communicating these with key internal stakeholders
- Overseeing credit control
- Managing and submitting VAT returns and being the main contact for HMRC
- Being the main contact for our annual financial audit
- Supporting our Management Accountant in preparation of monthly accounts including analysis against budget, and presenting this to the leadership team in a timely manner
- Managing the finance department as a team and individually, carrying out annual reviews objective setting and fortnightly 121s
- Working with the Finance Director to create annual budgets
- Supporting the HR department with payroll related activities
- Assisting the company’s leadership team on various ad-hoc projects, particularly the company’s Founder, Managing Director, and Finance Director

Experience:
- Skill in imparting and presenting financial information and requirements across the company
- The analytical ability to take raw financial data and understand and present the impact it will have on the company
- Proficiency in software such as Spreadsheets / Xero / Reporting / Banking
- The ability to make good decisions quickly to enable us to develop fast as a business
- A solution focused mindset
- Skill in communicating across multiple internal departments and with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Team Management
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team
- A collaborative, supportive, team-oriented working approach
- Preferably with experience from an audit background as well as experience in a small-medium sized, growing company
