The group operates in the highly lucrative world of Construction in stunning brand new, purpose build offices in the leafy suburbs of Hampshire.
The company now seek a Finance Professional who will help guide and support the the Group. They offer this as a fully autonomous role and will be responsible for a small, but growing finance team. The role will form part of the leadership team, and play a key part in continuing growth and financial wellbeing of the business.
Purpose:
To provide Financial Management and Reporting for the Group and associated companies
Manage the Accounts Department at Head Office.
Maintain relationships with external financial and professional advisers.
Ensure the Accounting aspects of the business are maintained to a high standard to ensure compliance with Company Standards and current legislation.
Position Reports to: Managing Director.
Key Accountabilities and Deliverables:
Provide timely and accurate management information including budgets and forecasts.
Compile statutory accounts and tax information as required by auditors.
Manage relationships with company bank and finance providers.
Manage cash requirements for the business and procure finance as directed by the board.
Provide and operate internal control procedures.
Develop existing and new systems/processes to improve efficiency and better management information.
Train, develop and motivate accounts staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge:
Qualified accountant with 5 years+ post qualification experience in a similar role
Experience of the Construction and Building industry (Ideally experience of COINS)
Good Commercial contracting experience.
Good knowledge of HMRC tax requirements and guidelines (CIST Tax, DRC VAT, IR35 etc.)
Sound knowledge of IT systems acting as administrator for in house accounting software
Knowledge of designing Excel models and management reports.
Working knowledge of HR requirements, insurance and legal proceedings.
Skills:
Ability to deliver Management Information within agreed timescales.
Strong computer skills to design reports, presentations.
Solid technical accounting skills.
Good problem solving skills.
Management skills to supervise, motivate and build teams
Good communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications:
Recognised accountancy qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA
