Finance Manager
London / PE backed tech innovator
An integral part of the Senior Finance Management team, reporting to the Head of Finance. This innovative tech client and recently backed by a leading PE investor are seeking a hands on, commercially and technically impressive candidate to join their growing team.
Responsible for ensuring statutory accounting and taxation compliance group and overseeing policy implementation and adherence.
Being a catalyst for opportunities and change through timely and effective analysis and process review, change and implementation. Review admin processes and introduce internal controls
Provide insight, analysis and understanding of financial performance, by supporting the FP/A team.

Audit Governance
- Responsible for the preparation of the year end accounts within the applicable IAS/IFRS
- Responsible for ensuring all finance activities comply with the auditing requirements and identifying any actions required to change internal processes for adherence
- Support annual audit process plus ad-hoc bank and financing audits
Taxation Management
- Responsible for providing accurate Corporation Tax and overseas returns and other statutory reporting in a timely fashion.
- Supporting external tax consultants on tax policy and taxation reclaims not limited to VAT, Corporation tax, Withholding tax and Patent Box
- Advise on R&D tax credits and capital allowances
- Co-review of external US Tax Computations & local filing oversight
IFRS Application
- Responsible for reporting and processing changes due to updated IFRS
- Compose and update written IFRS/IAS papers
- Explanation and communication to finance and non-Finance Managers
- Support year on year comparable when policy changes
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Support the wider group functions through M&A where opportunities arise, with tax due diligence, capital allowances and general accounting support
- Offer Group support on other Ad-hoc projects such as Intellectual property and R&D
Management accounts
- Responsible for preparation of the consolidated Group management accounts, inclusive of eliminations & local consolidations, and ensuring compliance and controls are followed within the monthly framework and reporting
- Working alongside other functions for decision support
Systems
- Engage & develop the continuous improvement of the core financial system
- Strive to support deliverance of efficiencies within the procedural guidelines
Treasury
- Assist in the calculation & management of interest payments
- Submission of FX-trade requests & payment approvals to effectively manage AP items
- Qualified Accountant
- Excellent internal customer communication skills, with strong I.T ability and data modelling, mining, and evaluation skills.
- Experience of direct line management
- Experience of ERP Systems
- Experience of Audit managements
Experience of policy and process change through evolution on IFRS developments
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (pref professional practice trained)
- Excellent internal customer communication skills, with strong I.T ability and data modelling, mining, and evaluation skills.
- Experience of direct line management
- Experience of ERP Systems (Desirable not essential)
- Experience of tax compliance (UK, USA and Global)
- Experience of Audit managements
