Job Description

Based in Leighton Buzzard, our client is a leader in their field looking for a Finance Manager to join their growing team initially on a 12-month fixed term contract with very strong indications to a permanent role.

This job would suit someone AAT qualified, or part qualified in CIMA, to monitor the day-to-day financial operations of the company, such as Credit Control, and Treasury.

This company is a market leader within their field, and they have recently entered the international market. The business has grown rapidly and has exciting expansion plans, so a fantastic opportunity with great exposure and future opportunities.

The successful individual must be able to communicate at all levels and have experience with presenting information in a clear and concise manner at board level. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of accounts preparation, management accounting, cash management, forecasting and the proven ability to manage people. Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel are essential. Experience with Sage 50 and Quickbooks is desirable. Various online banking platforms experience is also preferred.

Job responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the Accounts Assistant in regular accounts payable tasks
• Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
• Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement and report to directors
• Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
• Provide insightful information and expectations to directors to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
• Review of and analysis of financial data to prepare monthly and annual reports, which are presented to the board
• Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
