Finance Manager

Change Accountancy are partnering with a medium sized business, based in the heart of Glasgow, to recruit a Finance Manager. As the business goes through an exciting period of change, both externally and internally in their reporting, they are looking to hire a qualified accountant who can take a lead on this and the management of a small team.

The role will cover both month end deliverables and working closely with the business to craft month end narrative, as well as ensuring ledger controls are in place to run a smooth month end close.

Our client is looking for a qualified accountant with experience taking a lead in month end close and building relationships across a business. Strong commerciality is key along with balancing this with delivery of reporting and controls activity. Core duties include;

• Taking a lead in working with the business to prepare and produce month end management accounts with commentary and analysis
• Lead in month end accounts delivery with a focus on ledger close and supervising a number of accounts assistants
• Balance sheet analysis and discussing commentary with a range of operational stakeholders to understand movements
• Lead on value add insight and identifying areas of enhancement in controls
• Review of general ledger entries
• Presentation of financials to board and exec members with active participation in discussions
• Ownership of year end reporting
• Lead in various projects and transformation activity as required
