As a race preparation and restoration company specializing in classic and historic race/sports cars, including engine rebuilding, they require an individual with the following qualifications and skills:
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or QBE with a similar level of experience.
- Proven experience in managing various financial roles within a company.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, including experience in dealing with banking and investments.
- Ability to effectively analyze and evaluate information with exceptional attention to detail.
- Well-organized and proficient in various accounting packages, with a focus on Sage.
- Experience with Zahara and its integration into Sage.
- Proficient in Sage Payroll.
- Knowledge and administration of IPR.
- Strong Excel experience.
- HR experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations.
- Handle sales invoices, customer receipts, and communication, including the construction of customer invoices and statements.
- Control purchase invoices through Zahara, ensuring charges to relevant cost centers.
- Drive continuous improvements in accounting functions for correct charging.
- Oversee nominal ledger activities, including journals, posting, fixed assets, and depreciation.
- Review invoice/billing and credit control processes to ensure accurate cash receipts and payments.
- Approve vendor/supplier invoices and employee expenses, ensuring correct P&L coding and timely processing of payments.
- Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, checking P&L.
- Manage daily bank accounts and investments, ensuring maximum interest received and covering debits.
- Handle tax calculations, returns, payments, and planning.
- Support annual audit preparation, dealing with auditors.
- Produce bi-weekly payroll, pay, and submit to HMRC, including journal and pension details/payments.
- Provide HR support, including contract production and handling annual reviews and other inquiries.
- Ensure local compliance and statutory reporting.
- Manage owned property rental.
- Support ad hoc tasks as requested by the Director and colleagues.
