The Finance and Procurement Directorate is responsible for the management of the University’s financial affairs. It contributes to the strategic direction of the University and provides financial advice and support to the University Executive Group and Court. The Directorate delivers services relating to student finance, accounts receivable and accounts payable, financial accounting and reporting, treasury, taxation, insurance, procurement, research finance and also Finance Systems. The Directorate also advises both school and professional service management teams and supports wider institutional initiatives.

We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as Finance Systems and Change Manager within Finance Systems, part of the Financial Accounting team. This new position provides an exciting opportunity to lead in the development of our finance processes and systems, driving continuous change and ensuring processes are optimised and high-quality customer services is provided.

This role has been approved for hybrid working, currently working on campus a minimum of two days per week.

Your priorities will include:

• Ensuring the OneUniversity solution and other Finance Systems continue to meet business

requirements by gaining an in-depth understanding of the context and impact of the solutions to all the University’s operations.

• Mapping processes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in both process and system usage across the schools and directorates, identifying opportunities for change to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Developing skills and knowledge of the OneUniversity solution and other finance software to identify where, when and how future enhancements could/should be deployed.

• Leading the Finance testing and sign off of the scheduled One University software upgrades and upgrades to other key systems.

• Identifying areas of improving efficiency through the use ofFinance Systems.

Who we’re looking for:

• Experience ofidentifying and driving process change and continued improvement

• Proven experience of delivering a high level of custom er service

• Experience of being responsible for Finance system s and core end-to-end processes

• Extensive understanding of accounting principles, finance processes and key controls.

• Mostimportantly, you will have an appetite for problem solving, working with people and will be a creative thinker.
