Reed Finance are working with a well-respected organisation based in Stirling on their search for an experienced Financial Accountant. The role involves delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver consolidated monthly management accounts, quarterly bank reporting, and annual financial statements within deadlines.
- Prepare key reports and analysis for the Group.
- Circulate monthly stock ageing reports for review and action.
- Support ad hoc reporting needs across the business.
- Ensure compliance with financial, tax, and customs regulations, including reporting and record keeping.
- Support the annual audit process, including liaising with auditors and reviewing draft financial statements.
- Collate annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term plan projections, including balance sheets and cash flows.
- Complete quarterly VAT returns and employee tax filings.
- Approve bank payments and foreign exchange transactions as cover when necessary.
- Assist with annual insurance renewals and regulatory reports and returns.
- Administer company vehicle leases and manage related insurance reporting.
- Provide support to the wider finance team.
- Maintain good communication with internal and external clients.
- Assist with the development of the financial accounting system.
