SalaryA brilliant, large and complex UK charity is currently in need of a Financial Accountant to join its friendly and high-performing Financial Accounting team on a permanent basis in a newly-created role that will pay up to £53,000 per annum and offer excellent benefits. This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant to either continue with or begin their career within the charity sector, working for a large, complex and multi-faceted organisation in a role that could offer strong career progression. The role will be office-based two days per week (with a Kent head-office) and offers excellent benefits including a very generous annual leave allowance and pension contribution.
As the Financial Accountant your role will be responsible for:
- Monthly reporting on behalf of different areas of the organisation
- Year-end annual statutory accounts preparation
- Posting journals and performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Charity VAT returns
- Contributing to financial models alongside the FP&A team
- Other ad hoc accounting tasks
The ideal candidate for the Financial Accountant role will:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Have experience of accounts preparation previously
- Have a keen interest in charitable causes
- Be a team-player that works well in collaboration with others
