Financial Accountant

Position: Financial Accountant
Location: Durham - Hybrid Working - 1 day a week in office
Start Date: ASAP

Our client is currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join their Financial Control Team for an initial 6-month contract. The main purpose of this role is to prioritise and work collaboratively with other members of the team to meet tight deadlines and meet the highest standards of accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain integrity and assurance of the financial ledgers and operate key reconciliation controls.
• Responsible for monthly processes such as financial reporting analysis, reconciliations, adjustments and posting journals.
• Preparation of variance analysis ensuring this is an appropriate reflection.
• Balance sheet preparation and reviews, ensuring fully cleanses with the appropriate supporting documentation in place wherever possible.
• Support on audit requirements where necessary.

Requirements:

• SAP/Trintech/Anaplan experience
• Fully/Part qualified, or qualified by experience (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
• Strong knowledge in balance sheets, journals, cashflows, prepayments, and accruals.
• Knowledge on accounting policies, processes, and systems.
• Knowledge on OpEx costs
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and be proactive.
• Act with integrity and confidentiality.
