Financial Accountant

IPS Finance have partnered with a brand management company which work with some of the leading international names in sport.
This a hybrid role with study support.
With a turnover of £80m the Financial Accountant role supports the Finance Manager. The role may suit a part qualified accountant seeking a move from practice or industry.
The role includes;
Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.

General Ledger Management:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate financial data.

VAT Returns:

• Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and manage any queries related to VAT.
• Keep up to date with changes in VAT legislation.

Audit and Compliance:

• Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Support the implementation of financial controls and procedures.
