Reed Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of a successful company in Leigh-on-Sea to assist in their search for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated individual to manage the finance function in a sole role.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliations and management accounting.
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions and reporting.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports, including monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Conducting regular financial analysis, identifying trends, and providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Managing the preparation and submission of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Implementing and maintaining robust financial systems and processes to improve efficiency.
- Leading the procurement process and managing supplier relationships.
- Acting as the main point of contact for auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process.
Key candidate requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a sole capacity.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 and Excel.
