Job description

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial information for decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including posting journal entries and ensuring accuracy in accounting records.
  • Review and analyze financial data for discrepancies and resolve issues.

Month-End and Year-End Close:

  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are appropriately recorded and reported.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with management in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.

Tax Compliance:

  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting and accounting procedures.
  • Streamline financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
