Position Overview:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial information for decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including posting journal entries and ensuring accuracy in accounting records.
- Review and analyze financial data for discrepancies and resolve issues.
Month-End and Year-End Close:
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are appropriately recorded and reported.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with management in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
Tax Compliance:
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting and accounting procedures.
- Streamline financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Familiarity with financial accounting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
