Financial Accounting Analyst

Here at Vibe we are recruiting for an exciting position as a Financial Accounting Analyst, Private and Commercial Customer reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, Private and Commercial Customer where you'll be supporting the delivery of an efficient, risk-controlled Financial Accounting function.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of overhead / administrative expense general ledger accounts, ensuring data is accurate and supported by appropriate back up.
• Analysis of cross-charges between legal entities, ensuring accounting postings are accurate and supported by appropriate back up.
• Providing information to the relevant departments to assist with the submission of periodic VAT returns for all relevant entities, including data related to the partial exemption calculations.
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly reporting of actuals to Munich and supports the preparation of statutory accounts within defined timeframes, ensuring Financial Integrity.
• Responsible for preparing the accounting and financial reporting for all products and business lines through two separate Contract Management Systems (CMS) that interface into the General Ledger
• Responsible for correctness of financial statements in cooperation with external audit.
• Responsible for compliance with policies, guidelines, instructions & procedures and legal requirements.
• Maintaining integrity for all general ledger accounts. Ensures data is accurate and supported by appropriate back up. No material errors in balance sheet accounts and all differences fully investigated and explained.
• Responsible for sign off of accounting journals, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, invoice requests, payments to suppliers, and bank transfers.
• Complete and reconcile intercompany confirmations for relevant entities to ensure accurate Group Intercompany Profit elimination.
• Collaborate and generate new ideas to improve efficiency and automation within the accounting area.
• Implement new accounting processes and systems while ensuring Financial Integrity.
• Maintain and improve the quality and accuracy of the financial data, continually seeking efficiency gains while safeguarding effective controls.

You should have:

• Qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge, preferably with a strong Financial Accounting background.
• High level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail including completing detailed analysis and reconciliations.
• Good communication skills with colleagues and external partners at a range of levels including Senior Management and Stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of IT systems (preferably knowledge of SAP).
• Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
