Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Financial Assessment Officer in Derby. This is a full time contract position
Responsibilities include:

• To financially assess, collect income, pay fees and monitor debt in respect of clients who reside in care facilities
• To provide a high level of financial and administrative support to customers in receipt of community-based support
• To validate Financial Assessments and inform the customer about the outcome, adhering to statutory legislation, State Benefit Rules and the Data Protection Act ensuring accuracy of information
• To provide a high level of financial and administrative support to customers in receipt of community-based support and to providers delivering services, verifying Financial Assessments, paying providers, managing customer's direct payment accounts and pursuing debt recover.

Skills and experience:

• Experience of working in a financial environment within a public sector/social care/health care environment is essential.
• Excellent communications skills
• Experience in monitoring, processing, investigating and validating expenditure incurred by direct payment customers

A DBS will be required to start this position
