Reed Finance are working with a manufacturing client based on the Isle of Wight to recruit a Commercial Financial Controller to join their team on the island.
Salary on offer is £55,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience
As the new Commercial Financial Controller, you will ideally be qualified by experience and have strong excel skills along with a background in a manufacturing or similar industries. You will be supporting the senior management team with the strategic growth of the business. Looking to maximise profitability, productivity, and overall financial stability of the business.
Main responsibilities:
- Reviewing costs of suppliers and negotiating the best deals
- Assisting the operations team with commercial financial documents and negotiations.
- Managing stoke control in conjunction with the purchasing teams.
- Commercial strategy analysis with the MD.
- Financial forecasting and budgeting controls.
- Hands on Sales and purchase ledger reconciliations and daily monitoring.
- Month and year end reporting alongside external accountants.
To be the successful Financial Controller, you will have around 5 years' experience in a senior finance position ideally within a manufacturing environment. You will be a forward thinker with the ability to identify strategic opportunities and communicate these to the senior management team. You will need to be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience working with Sage 50 Accounts.
