Financial Controller

Time 4 Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Permanent Financial Controller in Swansea to join one of the UK`s leading Mechanical and Electrical service providers.  Our Client offers services and operates in the building services engineering sector, offering contracting and facilities management services to its clients.
As Financial Controller you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, managing a team accounts assistants, and will report to company directors - You will be required to prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts, manage cash flow, credit control, handle tax matters and ensure organisational financial stability. 
This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a growing business. The successful candidate will help make up the Senior Management Team and will be instrumental in helping the business realise its potential
The hours of work are 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday. The role is fully office based.
As Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:
•    Controlling cash flow, income and expenditure
•    Collating & preparing monthly/quarterly management accounts, liaising with the Head of Finance, Managing Director and shareholders
•    Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues, along with external professionals and accountants/auditors
•    Credit control
•    VAT returns
•    Payroll including Construction Industry Scheme
•    Dealing with HR matters and general office management

Requirements for this role 
As financial Controller you have must have previous experience in this role (ideally 3 years previous experience)  and be able to take the initiative, work successfully under pressure, intelligently assess and anticipate the requirements of leading your team.  It is vital you have highly proficient IT skills with knowledge of Sage 50 software.  Previous experience in the Construction Industry is essential   You must have experience of producing management accounts and ideally be a minimum of AAT Level 4 qualified.
