Financial Controller

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our site finance department. The role will involve overseeing all financial activities within the wholesale division of the business, with an emphasis on streamlining processes and improving financial performance.

Client Details

Our client is an established player in the FMCG sector, with a significant presence across the globe. They are widely recognised for their high-quality products. This is a c.£20-£30m t/o division of a much larger global business.

Description

• Manage and oversee the entire accounting team; directly line managing 1 person who in turn manages 2-3.
• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Oversee the preparation of all financial audits
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to group level finance
• Participate in strategic planning and decision-making at the management level to align with company goals
• Making sure the site follows company procedure
• Continually review and improve financial processes and systems

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

• Excellent communication skills
• Proven experience in a similar role, this can be within the FMCG sector or within another industry
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Strong knowledge of accounting software / Excel
• Ability to strategise and solve problems
