Main Duties:
As a Financial Controller, your main duties include:
- Oversight of the finance team, in support of the Finance Director.
- Be a key commercial, strategic and accounting pillar for the business
- Oversight of all monthly reporting, budgeting and planning
- Ensure the balance sheet is accurate and reliable with quality reconciliations and processes to support consistency. Create reports to identify potential issues.
- Lead the month-end closing process and prepare monthly financial statements on time.
- Manage the year-end closeout process, submit detailed reports, and work closely with auditors to ensure a smooth and surprise-free audit. Oversee the creation and timely filing of the company’s audited accounts.
- Work closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team for seamless financial reporting and reliable data for commercial analysis.
- Help the FP&A team create quarterly financial forecasts and the annual budget.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain strong internal controls.
- Prepare regulatory reports.
- Research technical accounting issues and write reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance within the finance department.
- Oversee accurate and timely tax calculations and submissions.
- Manage cash forecasting and other treasury functions, such as banking and debt factoring.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team, focusing on processes and operations.
- Lead and support a high-performing, engaged team. Encourage regular communication, provide supportive management, and foster a sense of pride and ownership.
- Build strong relationships with the finance team and respond promptly to their data requests.
- Provide analysis and project support as needed for the broader business.
Location / Office / Culture
The role is hybrid 3 days in the office a week, and the rest at home.

What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) OR solid experience and knowledge in manufacturing
- Ability to establish internal and external relationships and influence stakeholders
- Skilled user of Microsoft packages, encompassing Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to building teamwork
