What is the job role?An opportunity has arisen where we are looking to recruit a Financial Operations Manager to oversee the Financial Operations Team and the administration of the Community Purchasing Budget within Adult Social Care’s Business systems and Continuous Improvement Service.

The successful candidate will, under the general direction of the Head of Business Systems and Continuous Improvement, jointly lead with the existing Financial Operations Manager, the financial management processes for the Community Purchasing budgets across Adult Social Care; supporting Heads of Service to improve performance and achieve financial sustainability. The post holder will supervise and manage the performance and professional development of Financial Operations Senior Administrators and Financial Operations Support Officers and would be joining an established management team committed to supporting adults to live their best lives.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic service area, to build strategic and operational relationships that improve Financial Operations for Adult Social Care and service delivery for adults in the city.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

 
Who are we looking for?A confident communicator who has strong leadership skills to deliver results within challenging circumstances whilst maintaining a positive outlook. You should also have demonstrable financial administration and IT skills and be able to produce reports, and interpret data and information for a variety of purposes and audiences.
