Job description

About the role

Join us in Financial Planning

  • For a client focused financial professional, this is an opportunity to take on a key role with great exposure in Financial Planning
  • We’ll look to you to provide specialist, regulated banking advice to our private banking clients
  • Our customers need their money to be well managed, and in Financial Planning, we provide the right information to help our customers make good decisions about protecting what matters most to them

What you'll do

In this client focused role, you’ll be making sure that our clients’ financial needs are met and that they receive an outstanding service as you provide thorough and comprehensive planning advice on our regulated private banking products and services. You’ll be valued for your expertise on these, using it to upskill both our clients and your wider team to ensure they deliver a great client experience and maximise the effectiveness of our regulated private banking client proposition.

Your role will also involve:

  • Delivering regulated private banking products to help us to achieve our overall sustainable client growth and profitability targets across financial advice and income protection
  • Making sure reports, documentation and systems recording are technically accurate and compliant while helping to provide the best advice for clients
  • Building effective relationships with private banking stakeholders to promote our core products and services and work together to identify client needs
  • Developing and maintaining product and process documents, including sales guides, aide memoirs and user manuals, and delivering training to coverage teams and other key stakeholders to drive awareness and client centric growth initiatives
  • Providing guidance to coverage teams in respect of regulated private banking products, particularly with larger and more complex deals
  • Providing end-to-end transaction support which balances the needs of our clients, commercial aspirations and broader stakeholder demands, including analysing large and complex transactions

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone who can bring strong knowledge, experience and an understanding of regulated private banking and wealth management products, ideally from a product management or credit structuring background and definitely from a HNW or UHNW private client advice background. Relationship building with our clients and stakeholders is key in this role, so we’ll need you to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience of building relationships with credit functions and banking communities at a local and regional level within a large organisation.

As well as this, you’ll demonstrate:

  • Strong commercial acumen
  • An understanding of investments, private banking products, structuring, gifts and trusts, inheritance planning, retirement planning and wealth protection (within UK markets)
  • A strong understanding of financial markets, including key drivers for changes in price volatility, investment products and Financial Planning analysis
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to simplify complex and conflicting tasks and policy positions, making sure that these are effectively managed and communicated
  • Proven Experience of relevant policies, regulatory obligations and risk management of regulated private banking products
  • Hold the necessary qualifications (level 6) to provide Financial Planning advice in the UK and demonstrate current and ongoing continuing professional development to support these qualifications

If you need any adjustments to support your application, such as information in alternative formats or special requirements to access our buildings, or if you’re eligible under the please and we’ll do everything we can to help.
