Financial Planning Accountant Job duties:
- Oversee and manage the treasury operations, ensuring adequate funding and liquidity while adhering to banking agreements consistently.
- Develop and analyse development appraisals to facilitate informed decision-making in business planning.
- Establish realistic capital budgets for new projects, identify key risks, and conduct sensitivity analysis on assumptions, providing comprehensive reports.
- Monitor capital expenditures against budgets, promptly identifying and reporting areas of potential risk.
- Uphold stringent financial controls throughout the development lifecycle.
- Take charge of managing the Assets and Liabilities Register.
- Assist the Head of Finance in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
- Maintain an updated long-term cash flow forecast and business plan, outlining anticipated borrowing needs and offering flexibility for various scenarios.
- Oversee internal reporting concerning cash flow and investments.
- Coordinate short-term liquidity to ensure funds are readily available for monthly obligations while optimising returns.
- Spearhead the planning of funding arrangements and keep senior management informed of requirements.
- Ensure timely establishment of property security to guarantee adequate collateral for loan disbursements.
- Supervise the Charity's valuers to ensure timely valuation updates are obtained at appropriate intervals.
Profile
The successful Financial Planning Accountant will have:
- A professionally qualified Accountant, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
- Strong spreadsheet modelling skills.
- A proactive mindset and outside the box thinking capabilities.
- Previous experience working within a charity is desirable and advantageous.
- The ability to make strategic decisions and long term development plans to inform business planning decisions.
