As Financial Planning Analyst supporting Operations you will have full financial accountability for the site, reporting to the site General Manager.
(The transaction processing is led by a separate team based elsewhere).
Your role will be strongly P&L focused, and include the following:
- Working closely with all operational heads to understand, educate, challenge and support
- Provision of daily, weekly and monthly profit reporting
- Leading the monthly reforecasting and annual Budget activities
- Routine and ad-hoc analysis to provide insight and support sound decision making
- Analyse complex data to identify important trends
- Identify and deliver opportunities for process improvement
- Play a key role as part of the wider site SLT
The successful candidate will bring a mix of the requisite accounting, reporting and analysis experience. You must have gained some of this within a dynamic, operational environment (ideally manufacturing, engineering or warehousing / logistics). You will need advanced Excel to analyse and manipulate data, and ideally PowerPoint too. You must be accurate, commercially aware and have the ability to calmly explain / justify results to senior leaders. This role is based on site 5 days per week.
