As Finance Reporting Analyst, you'll work closely with the Property team to provide financial modelling and insight into our new store opening programme and new store performance. This role is pivotal in making the right investment decisions when allocating capital. You'll provide high-quality business performance reporting and detailed analysis highlighting key drivers and their impact on performance. This hands-on role in a fast-paced environment requires excellent analytical, organisation and communication skills. Key responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of Capex financials for new stores, prioritise reporting demands and manage stakeholder expectations. Attendance at weekly Board meetings to provide additional detail on Capex Financials.
- Support the submissions to the Kingfisher Investor Relations and Group Property teams on a quarterly basis (Blueprint/Impairment/PIR/GIC).
- Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of daily, weekly and monthly reports, and conduct regular reviews of these reports with stakeholders.
- Manage the sales budgeting and forecasting process for New and Annualising stores and assist the Finance Business partner with aspects of the wider budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Assist the Finance Business Partner with month end process and develop and maintain a detailed monthly cost report for the Property team.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis support to the wider Retail Finance and Property teams, delivering high quality business performance reporting, drawing conclusions and turning impactful insight into actions and outcomes.
- Support the continuous improvement of Retail Finance reporting process, ensuring financial analysis is accurate, efficient, and prepared on time.
Required skills & experience
- Strong sense of ownership and excellent organisation skills; this role will support Group finance reporting submissions.
- Demonstrate independent thinking and working.
- Strong analytical approach, and an ability to manipulate large data sets and to explain complex problems simply.
- Very strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- A desire to drive both continuous improvement and step changes in solution design which may require ‘out of the box’ thinking.
- Flexibility and ability to adjust to new demands.
- Part Qualified or studying towards CIMA, ACCA or equivalent is desirable.
