Financial Reporting Analyst

Jenson Fisher, have been engaged, by a highly reputable organisation based in Renfrewshire to recruit a Financial Reporting Analyst on a full-time permanent basis. This role would suit an experienced Payroll candidate who wants to be part of a small friendly team and work autonomously to progress their career. My client offers hybrid working, as well as an attractive benefits package. This role will play a pivotal role in supporting the Heads of Finance across a variety of accounting functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a newly Qualified ACCA or ICAS or Finalist candidate, either with a background in Accounting Practice transitioning into an exciting first industry accounting role, or for a candidate already working in industry to move to a new sector with excellent development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Analysis of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance, including variance analysis to identify trends
• Analysis of fixed cost utilisation to ensure cost reporting processes are fit for purpose
• Preparation and submission of monthly management information to Group
• Contribute to ensuring optimum procedures are in place for managing cash and working capital
• Assist in the coordination of external audits and ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements
• Support senior staff in the budgeting and forecasting processes

Main requirements:

• Newly Qualified or finalist candidate (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Previous experience in accounting practice, particularly in audit, accounting, or tax would be advantageous but not essential
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in Financial Reporting
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and adaptable to new IT and financial systems
