An opportunity exists to support this dynamic organization as a Financial Analyst in the Disney Financial Systems team based in London, UK.
The Financial systems Analyst will support the Business Processes including Source to Pay, Order to Cash, Travel & Expense and SAP security. Main system in scope is SAP, but also other Financial Systems complementing its core functionalities in specific process areas, including multiple reporting tools.
The role will provide end-user support and submit SAP master data governance requests based on business needs. Will participate in testing and implementation of system break fixes, as well as system enhancements as required. The FSA helps identify process improvement opportunities and participate in the development of training and communication materials.
The individual will promote best practice in the use of Financial Systems and offer advice/knowledge sharing across his/her user groups. Will ensure process consistency across the EMEA region by working with Regional Finance and Business Process leads to align processes.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge in general accounting, account payables, account receivables and T&E processes as well some experience in SAP FI-module. Will need a good understanding on tax on purchases to translate business requirements into system specifications and solutions.
The Opportunity & Responsibilities:
Process Support, Process Improvement and Governance
Supports end users and responds to issues (data or process) on SAP and other Financial Systems; takes appropriate action to resolve issues via our incident management tool.
Supports the governance and monitoring of finance system compliance in accordance with company policies & standards as well as local statutory and SOX requirements.
Collects issues from the EMEA end-users as well as the Regional Shared Service Center, and record & track them as required.
Prioritizes and addresses issues accordingly.
Escalates issues as necessary to the IFS team and/or corporate partners in the US to drive timely resolution.
Reviews issue/support trends and identifies proactive solutions.
Works with the local teams in each country, DFS team members, Disney Enterprise Technology in the US and HCL to resolve issues.
Performs and documents system break-fix testing.
Participates in EMEA specific or Global projects as required, owning and delivering specific tasks assigned.
Performs enhancement testing and participate in major system release testing as required.
Keeps abreast of technology and solutions for key finance processes and business analytics.
Prepares documentation of system and process best practices.
The Experience We Require From You:
Experience developing and delivering end user training.
At least 1 year of experience working in similar roles using SAP FI-Module.
Experience of participating in the full range of testing activities (including but not limited to: functional testing, user acceptance testing, integration testing)
Business acumen, with deep expertise in the allocated domain(s) as well as strong skills in the technology that supports the domain(s), particularly ERP systems, primarily SAP
Coupa system experience is desirable
Good excel skills for data analysis
