Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Assistant Manager to join our team at The Vines Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the hospitality industry, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a keen eye for detail. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, the Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant, maintaining high standards of service, and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, including staff management, scheduling, and inventory control.
- Lead by example, providing guidance and support to front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Monitor dining room activities to ensure efficient service flow and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain quality standards and ensure timely delivery of food orders.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner, striving to resolve any issues to the guest's satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a Fine Dining restaurant environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine service and menu pairing, is desirable.
